I was considering buying a shutter release for my Canon Rebel XT. The cost was a bit more than I was willing to pay, so a bit of research on the Internet I was going to build a home brew version of the shutter release. I found a few interesting sites on the Internet on how to build your own. On further surfing I found a wireless version from Hong Kong on ebay. Less than $15 via paypal and it showed up in a little over a week in the post. I am satisfied with it and some photos from a recent Thanks Giving get together at Wendy’s place in Mundare.
It plugs into the remote control connector on the side of the camera. Turn both the camera, remote and receiver and you are good to go.
The shutter button can be pressed halfway or all the way.
-You can activate autofocus, release shutter, activate continuous drive mode or keep the shutter open for bulb photography as well.
